Project Description: Last Fall SOSD completed the building of the new Unify Center on I-90 and Cliff Ave (NW quadrant).  The facility has already been put to great use and there is much more that can be done.  One of the items needed is to build a Strider Bike course.  Strider Bikes are peddle-less bikes that can be used by those just learning to ride a bike.  Children ages 2-15 use the bikes to help learn how to ride a bike while building confidence and balance.  Strider Bikes are used heavily in SOSD’s growing Young Athlete program.  Young Athletes is a nation wide program adopted by SOSD to help those ages 2-7 learn cognitive and social skills while also learning a variety of sports related activities.  The new Strider Bike course, that volunteers have the opportunity to provide, will be set up with a wide variety of terrain to help SOSD athletes learn how to handle differences in road type conditions.  The course will also be set up with road signage to help children learn the rules of the road in a safe environment.

Tools & Materials Needed to Complete the Project: Splitrock Landscaping will head the project.  They will be donating some labor and all tool usage to the project so no tools will be needed from anyone other than Splitrock Landscaping.
